Keighley Town Council have announced they will be hosting a Virtual St George’s Day celebration on Friday 23 – Sunday 25 April.

Last year’s annual celebration was cancelled due to coronavirus but this year all the activities and fun will be taken online to ensure the festivities can continue. There is an exciting line up which will be announced in the coming weeks. There will be live children’s entertainment, storytelling sessions, poetry and history sessions, a live bake-a-long, a Live Mic Night and much more! All the entertainment and workshops will be delivered by local people and businesses.

All the entertainment will be streamed live via the Keighley Town Council’s Facebook Page and a schedule of times will be published on their Facebook page.

A St George’s Day School Colouring Competition has been launched for the schools across Keighley. A public colouring competition has also been launched to design a knight’s shield with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and the Keighley Town Mayor will judge the designs.
