In the wintery months, Oakworth Village Hall worked with Cllr Luke Maunsell to get themselves a grit bin. The Ward Development Funding paid for the bin itself and an initial fill of grit. The Village Hall will manage the bin thereafter.
The Hall is managed by Oakworth Community Trust, who took on the building without many assets. After a difficult year, this funding is a helping hand of support. In no Covid times, many volunteers and groups use the Hall and it’s important to be able to provide this safety underfoot when the snow hits.
