Laycock Phone Box Book Exchange
Laycock Book Exchange
The Trustees of Laycock Village Hall signed a rent-free lease with Keighley Town Council to transform a disused phone box into local Book Exchange.
Work will soon be taking place to paint the outside and replace the missing windows with Perspex.
The restoration is being funded by the Council’s Ward Development Fund.
Councillor John Kirby said “I am delighted to support this project, not only does it preserve a historic landmark for future generations but it will provide a great resource for the community.”
When the work is complete, Laycock Village Hall volunteers will maintain the interior and manage the book exchange.
