Keighley Town Council are working in partnership with Craven College on an exciting new project designed to help people not in work develop the skills and confidence they need to find suitable employment.
“Keighley Works” is part of the Keighley Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Initiative and is part funded through the European Structural and Investment Fund. It’s all about helping people to help themselves.
Those who choose to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity can get free access to a range of practical and educational experiences including focused training courses, work placements and accredited volunteering opportunities with individually tailored support from Keighley Town Council’s new team of experienced community key workers.
The Keighley Works team consists of 2 newly employed Key Workers, Helen & Chris, and our Project Worker, Sarah.
Keighley Works is open to anyone living within the mapped Project area, who’s not in paid work, is in receipt of benefits, is over the age of 19 and has lived in the UK for three years or more.
The boundary map associated with the project is very strict and won’t allow the team to support anyone living outside it.
It’s important to note that the mapped area does not cover the entirety of the Keighley Parish. To find out if a household is eligible simply click on the button below this will take you directly to the map showing the areas that are covered by the program.
If you know of people who might be interested in joining the project, please ask them to call or text/WhatsApp on 07719 960466 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
