On Sunday 13 November, crowds gathered in Keighley to watch the Remembrance Sunday parade. Representatives from the Veterans, RBL, Civic Dignitaries, Cadets, Scouts and Guides, local organisations and schools took part in the parade and church service.
Thanks go to everyone who helped make the event happen.
Town Mayor, Cllr Luke Maunsell, said ‘
‘Just to extend my deepest thanks to everyone who attended today’s Remembrance Sunday Service and two minute silence.
Special thanks naturally goes to the Town Council Officers who helped make the complex arrangements seamless as well as the Royal British Legion, our friends at the Shared Church and Drill Hall, our veterans, MP, Keighley councillors and everyone else who played a part.
It was amazing to see so many in attendance including our Scouts, Cadets and so many more. I was also informed that it was the largest number of representatives from Keighley Schools in attendance.
Remembrance Day, alongside Armistice Day, remains the most important date in our calendar and today the Council, and this town, did our Armed Forces proud.’
