Committees of the Council and what they do.
Events & Community Action Committee – comprises ten Councillors and deals with organising events and supporting community development projects across Keighley.
Human Resources Committee – comprises of five Councillors and is responsible for overseeing recruitment and terms & conditions of town council employees.
Planning Committee – comprises of ten councillors and is responsible for submitting consultation comments on planning applications within Keighley. The committee also retains oversight of the Neighbourhood Plan development process.
Policy & Resources Committee – comprises of ten Councillors and is responsible for oversight of the town council finances and procedures for how the town council operates. The committee also considers all grant applications.
Public Spaces & Assets Committee – comprises of ten Councillors deals with matters including Civic Centre, allotments, town hall square and green spaces.
Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group – comprises of councillors and representatives from the community. The Group will lead on project management and decision-making and will lead the preparation of the Keighley Neighbourhood Plan.
