Saturday 31 July – Sunday 1 August, Keighley Town Council hosted a Yorkshire Day event on Church Green.

The family fun weekend saw a host of entertainment and activities for the public. Live music was performed by a host of local talent including Ben Jordan, Bradford Concert Band, BOLT Academy, Maddy Taylor and Megan Swanepoel. Local businesses such as Hare about the House and sweet business Cravelings showcased their products for the public.

Town Mayor Cllr Julie Adams said ‘Yorkshire Day is an important day in the Town Council’s calendar. This is our first major public event since 2019 and we were

so pleased to see so many members of the public out and enjoying the event. We are very much looking forward to hosting Yorkshire Day in 2022 for The Yorkshire Society.’

Cllr Mick Westerman, Chairman of the Events & Leisure Committee commented, “the Events & Leisure Committee were delighted to be able to once again host an event for the people of Keighley to enjoy. We have more events in the pipeline so be sure to keep an eye on our social media pages for more information.”
