Committees of the Council
Comprises ten councillors and deals with organising events and supporting community development projects across Keighley.
Comprises of five councillors and is responsible for overseeing recruitment and terms & conditions of town council employees.
Comprises of ten councillors and is responsible for submitting consultation comments on planning applications within Keighley. The committee also retains oversight of the Neighbourhood Plan development process.
Comprises of ten councillors and is responsible for the oversight of the town council finances and procedures for how the council operates. The committee also considers all grant applications.
Comprises of ten councillors and deals with matters including Civic Centre, allotments, Town Hall Square and green spaces.
Comprises of councillors and representatives from the community. The group will lead on project management and decision-making and will lead the preparation of the Keighley Neighbourhood Plan.
The Full Council receives reports and recommendations from the five committees where most of the decision-making process takes place. Full Council also receives reports from outside bodies, and from Bradford district councillors. Full Council also has the responsibility for setting the annual budget and precept level each year.
