Grants

Please read the ‘Guidance for Applicants’ document to find out information regarding the Acorn Fund and the Oak Fund. Amongst many other things, it tells you how much funding you can get ... up to £250 from the Acorn Fund and up to £1,000 from the Oak Fund, how to apply and what records you must maintain.

Acorn Fund

This fund is intended for things which are unlikely to find another form of funding and can be given to any person or group which has a project or need to hire/purchase an item to help with their work for the community.

There is NO minimum to the value applied for under this fund and the maximum value awarded under this fund is £250.

To apply for this you need to fill out a simple form explaining what you are doing along with a breakdown and costs of what you need the funding for.

If this is part of a larger project we need to know the total cost of the project and details of other funding which you expect to receive for the project.

You need to get your local ward councillor to sign the form.

We may decide to provide you with items which you need rather than give you money.

We will ask you to provide details of how any money awarded has been spent and may ask you to give a brief description of how the award has benefited your community.
